We are the Cremation Society of Great Britain, the pioneer of cremation in this country, and founded by Queen Victoria’s surgeon, Sir Henry Thompson on the 13th January 1874. It is not conducted for profit and is a registered charity. We would like to establish contact with your organisation to learn more about cremation in your country and would be grateful if you could let us have your postal address.

Many thanks, and we look forward to hearing from you.

    Dear Mr Li,

Or may I call you Nepa?

I am a foreigner, an outsider who likes street art. I can’t myself do it for toffee, but I like to see thoughtful messages in public places. Rather thoughtful messages than Ruslan Vodka adverts.

Anyway, I have this fantasy of a large picture of Sujata, looking serious, pasted onto a big concrete wall (and there are no shortage of them around) with a slogan of pure honesty underneath.

Only problem I have is finding a slogan that resonates, that is not too cryptic or subtle for the average passer-by. What would Sujata honestly say to the passing folk given more than a few shots of Ruslan truth serum? Any ideas?

    Yours,

    Mr .com
(ps. an email response, if you have a moment, might be preferable)

Thank you so much for adding my blog in your blogroll. I also added you in my tiny blogroll. I am really appreciative for your support as my blog is still in its infancy. I plan to make my blog more focused on short fiction and I have already posted one short story. I am going to have another one posted in a few days. I hope that your support and encouragement will continue as my blog matures. :-)

you have a nice blog in here. i read a few of your post, and i came across one, that certainly amused me! don’t mind me asking this, but you are not narayan wagle are you? for the post titled “palpasa cafe” has readers commenting on it and thanking Wagle ji like it were you.
you seem to be quite anonymous for me, thus sprang the question. but interesting (introspective a few)post, must say.

    • nepali

Thanks Shuvechha. And no I’m not Mr. Wagle, though he is my neighbor and I occasionally run into him in the beautiful Battisputali gallis :) I actually told him once I thought the book was okay – sounded kinda mean but the man took it like a pro.
Yes, I’ve stopped commenting on those comments my blog on Palpasa Cafe gets. If they don’t realize I’m not the author of that book (faaar from it rather), there’s no point I reckon.

it’s been a while since i last read your blog.
as yummy as ever. (hi ashish? are you reading this? will you hate on me/us too?).

or, am i going crazy aba and should be in bed as it is 3:07AM.

    • nepali

Hey thanks; and your write-ups are tongue-clackingly (all Nepali-ishtyle after a good plate of choilas and kachilas) good :D

And Ashish is already calling names – dudes an entertainer.

hahaha. this is almost like a gtalk chat box. :) i could catch some meaningful conversations somewhere in between…feeling like a creep right now for even commenting.

  9. Silentmist

A friend of mine recommended (ok, he actually just “linked” me on FB) and I enjoyed every writing of your’s(every = the recent ones on the first page). The humour, (darn it stupid auto error, its not only “humor”!!),the genuineness, and every professionalism I adsorb are just so great! No, awesome is the word.!!! I’m not much of a literature kinda guy but hey, didn’t stop me from going through your mind!I guess I’ve got something other than Facebook to be hooked to.
I do not feel qualified to say ” Keep it up”,so yeah, looking forward. Juuuuust looking forward.

1.I had a 2 hour long conversation about handwriting today.
2.no clarity over how I ended here, by this tail of murmurs.

So, to ease things- handwriting. What of it, nepa.li?

    • nepali

I was gifted this diary made out of Nepali kagaj last week. Writing on it does ease things. So yes Thuski, I concur.

Hey! I own a retail store near Boston and my company makes t-shirts that say love in different languages. Could you help me right the noun “love” in Nepali?

Thanks! Send an email here: jam@zamforia.com

    Best,
    J
