to not have any answers
when the process of elimination
leaves you with ‘other’
when you can skip it
without losing any points that grip it
when you can scratch it
without completely having to match it
when you can fight it
without causing any flood of blood to terrorize it
when you can feel it
smile, but yet not embrace it
when you can kill it
to forever bless it
when you can hide it
so as not to abide by it

so that He can inflame it
and alas render it disintegrated
only to find

when you peer through your fingers at midnight
