And Now, It’s The Maoist CA Member – Ms. Chandadevi Ram

Yesterday, we wrote about how a CA member Mr. Om Prakash Yadav is going around beating up the Nepali Police whenever he doesn’t see them greet him with a salute. And now, in this “CA Members, Grab Attention By Being Stupid” month, CA member representing the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), Ms. Chandadevi Ram has proudly put forth her contribution by illegally cutting a tree in a Wildlife Sanctuary! Don’t you just love the way our Constituent Assembly members roll? What’s next, Mr. Girija Prasad Koirala illegally smuggling diapers? Makes me want to be a CA member just so that I can do something stupid and illegal at the same time and get away with it.

If ANNISUR didn’t mean to smear the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Madhav Sharma and the Rector Rector Prof. Dr. Surya Lal Amatya, how on earth did it happen? If ANNISUR didn’t mean to smear, why did you even bring the smear with you to campus that day? Or and are you saying ANNISUR’s General Secretary Mr. Himal Sharma who smeared the Vice Chancellor and the Rector, doesn’t know what he’s doing?

As we all know, the hot topic in our country right now is one Mr. Rookmangud Katawal who was supposed to send the government his explanation as to why he did what he did (Update: click here to find out the charges against him brought by this government).

Naturally, my first two options in this attempt are Nepal News and My Republica, in no particular order. Nothing. Then I do a Google search. Still nothing. Dismayed, I go to the brand spanking Nepali news daily Nagarik‘s website. Lo and behold, there it was. Without any restraint, I can say: Nagarik FTW.

Good News!

Good News!

This is good news, no pun intended there by the way. I am a daily visitor of My Republica – to keep myself updated on news/events in Nepal and to look for blogging material, in case you haven’t noticed. My Republica‘s online content is of a good quality and so far I haven’t seen any level of bias towards anybody in their news reports. I admit that I have yet to read one column at My Republica though. I tried once, but didn’t really dig the author’s writing style. I forget who it was.
